A STUDY OF REVERSIBLE HYDRO COLLOLD MATERIALS

Abstract
Reversible hydrocolloid(agar) is used most often to make the mold for duplication. Since this material is heat reversible, is may be reused many times. The element in the revesible hydrocolloid impression materials is. 1) Agar 14.3% 2) Borax 0.2% 3) Potassium sulfate 20% 4) Water 83.5% Borax increases the hardness of the gel but retard to hard of the plaster of paris. Potassium sulfate increases the hardness of the plaster of paris.
